What makes Y School different

  • Youth workers

Youth workers in each class room provide trusted mentoring, daily wellbeing support and practical guidance, helping students build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of belonging at school.

  • Individualised Learning Plans

Individualised learning plans are developed with each student and their family to create personalised pathways that support academic progress, wellbeing and future goals.

  • Small Class Sizes

Our small class sizes allow educators to provide personalised attention, build strong relationships and create a supportive learning environment where every student feels seen and valued.

Our Spaces

At the heart of our newly built school is a commitment to fostering connection, belonging and creativity. Designed in collaboration with students and educators, our spaces are intentionally crafted to feel welcoming, calming and homely, with natural light and easy access to recreational areas to support curiosity and wellbeing. Rather than rigid classroom structures, our flexible learning environments encourage freedom of movement, collaboration and exploration. Comfortable lounges, beanbags and cosy nooks create a space where students feel at ease, learn at their own pace and thrive.
