Support Staff
Our student-wellbeing framework is supported by a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, united in one purpose: helping each young person thrive academically, emotionally, socially and physically.
Our wellbeing approach is strengthened by a dedicated team of Youth Workers who work together to ensure every young person feels supported, understood and set up to succeed.
Youth Workers are embedded in every classroom, playing a vital role in bringing our evidence-based wellbeing practices to life. They implement tailored strategies—such as emotional-regulation tools, relationship-building activities and personalised interventions—so wellbeing is woven seamlessly throughout the school day. Their consistent presence allows them to form genuine, trusting relationships with students, helping each young person feel seen, safe and supported.

With a deep understanding of individual needs, Youth Workers provide personalised guidance and foster a strong sense of belonging. They are skilled at recognising early signs of emotional distress, de-escalating conflict and using proactive approaches to keep students regulated and engaged, ensuring a calm, focused learning environment. By staying closely connected to students and responding to challenges as they arise, they significantly strengthen our whole-school approach to wellbeing and help every student thrive.
They also work alongside students, families, staff and community services to address broader needs that impact student wellbeing and engagement. They help students and families navigate essential supports, including housing, financial assistance, government initiatives, allied health services, and physical or mental-health care.
Using a truly holistic approach, Youth Workers empower students and their families, building resilience and removing barriers that may stand in the way of learning. Their work helps create a connected, resourceful community where young people have the stability, confidence and support they need to flourish both in and beyond the classroom.
